1959 Corvette Convertible Stock #2150PC Yellow exterior with White coves, Gold vinyl interior, unfinished auxiliary hardtop. 283ci engine, automatic transmission. Ever wanted to rebuild a classic 1950s Corvette from the ground up? We can't think of a better candidate! This rolling project is priced to sell, and is very complete. This classic 'Vette could be brought back to its former glory with some work. The body of this car is in good overall condition, showing signs of previous repairs to the left rear bumper mount area, and just aft of the hood on the passenger side. Paint on this car has not aged well, and will need to be redone of course. A 1958 hood has been added for some extra flair; fender top stainless trim is missing on both sides. The original chrome bumpers are in average original condition, and could look great again with an acid bath and replating. Stainless trim is missing for the hardtop, but is mostly all there otherwise, and in average original condition. The hardtop itself will need to be refinished, and is showing a few previous signs of fiberglass repairs as well. Nonetheless, this factory hardtop is quite valuable by itself just based on rarity, as it has been two years since even WE have had a C1 with a hardtop. Passenger window shows a small crack; driver window is currently down and inoperable. Windshield is in very good condition. Original exterior door handles are in average condition, with some pitting and a dull finish. Weatherstripping is missing; original taillights show typical light cracking. A set of Pro Star-looking aluminum wheels have been added, and are in overall good condition with the exception of the right rear, which is bent. Tires are showing dry-rotted sidewalls and are not safe to drive on; we recommend replacing these tires immediately. Trunk emblem and surround are missing. The interior of this car is restorable, and very complete. We would recommend new seat covers and springs, door panels, carpet, gauges, and a steering wheel to start with for this interior. A vintage Sun Tach sits just where the factory tach was, and a Custom Auto Sound cassette stereo has been added, in addition to footwell speakers. Gas pedal is missing. Additions under the hood include HEI ignition, 350hp style finned aluminum valve covers with the Corvette script, an Edelbrock carburetor and chrome air cleaner, and a homemade sheetmetal fan shroud. Frame appears to be solid. The engine itself shows a correct casting number for a 1959 model year Corvette. This is a project that you can be very proud of when it's all done -- call now as we have had plenty of requests for straight axle projects like this one!
