1966 Corvette L79 Convertible For Sale Stock #xxxxC Code correct Nassau Blue exterior, code correct Bright Blue interior (originally vinyl, upgraded to leather), White convertible top. Numbers matching 350hp 327ci engine, numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission. This 1966 Corvette Convertible is in TOP CONDITION with very, very, very few excuses (if any at all). Additionally, this car has only had ONE OWNER from 1968-2009, and has just 70,294 documented original miles! Assembly date on this car corresponds to October 7, 1965. The base/clear paint on this car is very recent and is just about flawless with an excellent shine, and no visible scratches, scuffs, or stress cracks. Convertible top (Al Knoch) and and associated weatherstripping are brand new; all other weatherstripping on this car appears is new as well. Chrome bumpers are excellent, having just been rechromed. Chrome exterior door handles, taillights, power antenna, front glass, and emblems are all new, and are excellent. This 1966 Corvette Convertible wears a brand new set of reproduction knockoff style wheels with recent radial whitewall tires showing 8/32nds tread remaining. The engine compartment in this 1966 Corvette Convertible is extremely original and correct, with the numbers matching 350hp engine showing a casting date of September 27, 1965. This engine has less than 500 miles since a complete rebuild. Intake manifold, carburetor, and even the alternator show correct casting numbers. Additionally, this car still has its original exhaust manifolds, radiator expansion tank, and 3.70:1 rear-end. This engine compartment of this 1966 Corvette Convertible has been highly detailed, and is ready to show, complete with correct air cleaner and ignition shielding. Master cylinder appears to be 1967 style. Brake rotors, calipers, and pads have all been replaced within the last 18 months, as well as the water pump, starter, and battery. 1973 Corvette Convertible For Sale Stock #2083 Red exterior, Black vinyl interior, Black convertible top. NOM 327ci engine, automatic transmission, posi rear-end. This '73 shows what is probably an older restoration, but still has plenty of eye appeal and is perfect for someone looking for a great-running C3 that can be tinkered with on Saturday and hit the cruise scene on Sunday. Body build date reads November 11, 1972. Although older, this 1973 Corvette Convertible wears an excellent paint job with just a few minor blemishes. Additionally, there are several paint touchups on this car. Trim tag shows paint code 953 and interior trim code 404. Someone has installed a set of later-style sport mirrors, which look great on this car and function much better than the original type. Convertible top is in great shape with a clear window and no rips or tears in the fabric. Luggage rack is in overall good shape with no major pitting and no dings. Furthermore, the rear chrome bumpers show well with no dings or rust. Exterior chrome door handles have some scratches and pitting and have slightly sunk from age. Although none of them are actually broken, all four tail lights show cracking in the lenses and should be replaced to make this a show car. Weather stripping is also older, but is not significantly cracked or broken. Rally wheels with good condition trim rings and center caps have a set of off-brand radial tires on them with about 70% tread left. Originally equipped with deluxe interior, this car now wears a set of leather-like seat covers that look very recent and are very soft. The correct deluxe interior woodgrain trim plate is still present in the center console. The standard interior door panels are in excellent condition, as are the dash pad and center console. Steering wheel is in good shape with normal wear but no cracks or other issues. Carpet is standard interior style loop in overall very good condition with just some minor fading. Correct GM seatbelts are also present. A vintage Motorola cassette deck currently resides where the original AM/FM radio sat, and was probably installed many years ago. The engine compartment of this car shows an engine casting date of February 28, 1971, and a correct LT1 aluminum intake. New parts include brake lines, fuel tank, and spark plugs. A Carter AFB carburetor delivers the fuel. Exhaust manifolds look to have been swapped some time ago for a set of painted longtube headers. Frame shows some scale, but appears to be solid. A good sanding and detailing would make this frame show well. 1967 Corvette LS7 454 Guldstrand/Super Chevy Project Car For Sale Stock #2109 Yellow exterior with Black stinger, code correct Black vinyl interior. Built 500hp 454ci LS7 GM long block, 4 speed manual transmission. If documentation is king, then this car is a god among Corvettes -- this beastly big block was a Super Chevy project car in 1991, with the installation of nearly all of its go-fast parts documented in several issues of the magazine. The original intention of this project car was to build a classic style Corvette for the 90s -- this included a big block engine with reduced compression ratio to run better on pump gas, and a thorough rethinking of the original suspension. In addition, all of the work that is documented in the magazine is also documented with invoices from Dick Guldstrand, one of the best known Corvette tuners in the world!! This car was treated to a body-off restoration (documented in Super Chevy), with many upgrades to the engine and suspension. Originally assembled on March 14, 1967, this Corvette shows paint that is typical of an older paint job, showing little wear other than a few stress cracks in the typical areas. This paint still shines very well, and is sure to turn heads. This was originally a Rally Red car, unlike many other yellow cars that started out as much less desirable colors such as White or Green. Bumpers were rechromed through Guldstrand in 1991, and are beginning to show some patina. All glass shows correct date codes with the exception of the windshield and the passenger side vent window. Original exterior door handles show a good finish, and function well. Taillights are very nice, with only one showing some hairline cracking. Weatherstripping may be original, and is showing signs of age. This car wears bolt-on aluminum wheels, which are in good condition with fair condition center caps. Tires are vintage Goodyear Eagle VR60, and were installed for one of the Super Chevy writeups. These tires show 8/32nds tread remaining in the front, and 6/32nds tread remaining in the rear. The interior of this 1967 Corvette looks to be very much original, including the steering wheel, door panels, and seat covers. All of these items are in fair to good condition, with no rips or tears in the seat covers. Dash pads are in good shape with no cracks, and the center console is in good condition as well. Gauges show no fading, although the lenses are slightly cloudy. Oddly enough, the second hand on the clock is functional, although the other two hands are not. Correct GM seatbelts are in place as well, and the correct loop style carpet is in fair to good condition, showing some light fraying around the edges and minor fading. A Custom Auto Sound cassette stereo has replaced the original AM/FM radio in the car, with no modifications to the dash. A Hurst shifter has been installed in favor of the original shifter. The 454ci LS7 long block in this car shows a K118 casting date, which we believe to correspond to November 18, 1988. Super Chevy documents the purchase of this long block assembly, which was partially disassembled and rebuilt in the magazine, with the compression ratio reduced to 9.25:1 for drivability reasons. A Crane True Roller timing chain was also installed, along with a Crane 214/222 110 LSA camshaft, Speed-Pro main and rod bearings, ARP bolts, new valve springs, McLeod dual disc clutch and aluminum flywheel, Weiand Team-G dual plane intake, Trans-Dapt chrome valve covers, Ultra Flow head porting, Holley 8156 750 cfm carburetor, Flowmaster mufflers, and Hooker coated Super Comp longtube headers. Suspension work (completed by Guldstrand) includes C3 spindles, a-arm bushings, swaybar bushings and links, modified coil springs, and Monroe Formula GP shocks. A new rear leaf spring was also installed, along with new trailing arm bushings. The rear sway bar was removed at that time, as recommended by Guldstrand. Brake work included rebuilt calipers and steel braided brake lines, and an SSBC big block power steering kit was also installed. All of these items are documented by the Super Chevy issues, which will come with the car, along with tens of thousands of dollars worth of invoices from Dick Guldstrand. Body and paintwork is also documented in the magazine. Sidepipes are in place, although Super Chevy installed exhaust out the back as well, which is currently hooked up in favor.
